We started off the lesson with a series of quick poses, using blind technique, continuous line, contour and wrong hand drawing. This got the students in the right frame of mind for a couple of longer studies in charcoal. The work is really progressing, see for yourself below.
The year 9’s have just started making wire sculptures inspired by Michael Craig-Martin. The students are using every day objects as the subject of the work, just like the artist. See below for examples.
